During the offseason the Thrahers spicked up a variety of exciting players. None have captured fans hearts so much as 18 year old Evander Kane. Kane who was drafted 4th overall by the Thrashers this season, is the highest Black player ever to be drafted by a National Hockey League (NHL) team. Kane is named for Atlanta legend Evander Holyfield who visited the young player at the rink. Already on the young season, Kane has 3 goals and is a +3, clearly he is working his way up to being an all-star for Atlanta already.
